Here I go again. An attempt to reduce it all to a one pager

The forever preserved ubiquitous Quran empowers individuals, Quran empowers individuals individually and releases them from their dependence on others for success and salvation. Irrespective of the entry level of a would be hopeful. Now that is a very scary prospect for organized religions, political establishments and the not so ethical societies. The current wave of trying to hide the Quranic truth under falsehood by the insiders on one hand and the unrelenting attacks on this very truth by outsiders on the other is nothing new. The only difference between the two sides in this age-old saga is that the elements from within try to cover the truth with crudely manufactured secondary sources and the outsiders take aim to discredit everything Islamic by targeting this very covering. A planted chink in the armor for the unsuspecting, so to speak.

These manufactured competing options to throw individuals off their game are born of necessity because changing the Quran has been rendered impossible forever. A verifiable reality. All these diabolical distortions through defective reasoning or seriously challenged translations can be set straight with minimal effort. Furthermore, the means to extract the intended interpretations of the Revealed word of God are embedded in the Quran itself.

Let us be clear, the fundamentals of all these covert and overt attacks are rooted in blatant power grabs. The starting points for most power grabs begin with either the formation of a group or joining one, sectarianism in a nutshell. The sectarian leadership, as opposed to the brainwashed foot soldiers, keeps their relevance flourishing through glorifying religious cult figures both current and ancient and in the process forge a branded narrative. Branding is at the heart of the business of sects. Yes, sects are big business. Controlling the narrative is the key to riches. These wily entrepreneurs spike the narrative with emotionally charged rhetoric to push the buttons of their mostly poorly educated followers. The same emotional triggers are used to build on-demand mobs which add exponentially to their nuisance value. Their preferred cleric to emperor route is through violence, intimidation, and terror.

The controlling elements of these narratives are full of promises of salvation through exclusiveness. The irony of these “exclusive” claims is lost on them and most of their intended victims given the fact that each sect peddles the exact same exclusivity. Their claims are further embellished and hardened with the virtual carrot of intercession not to mention virgins and the very real stick of severe punishment in that order. Challenging the claims is not an option in spite of rehearsed denials. The top of the list is reserved for meting out punishments to those who question the narrative, often qualified with death.

The sitting powers are always wary of new challengers and are constantly on the lookout for attempts to educate the masses with the type of truth that empowers individuals. Every ounce of power gained by individuals is power lost by the power grabbers. Hence the double whammy of attacks faced by anyone attempting to promote the Quranic truth should be expected. The biggest blunder any promoter can commit is to assume that the message of the Quran is not being understood properly by the usual suspects. In fact, it is the very opposite. It is this very understanding and its implications that galvanize them into protecting their turf.

All that is required of an individual is to focus on this one book and let it teach you the truth. The teacher is no other than God Himself. Understand these basic premises and submit, faith will follow with the permission of God.

  1. Salaam,

Taking the above piece at face value would seem to mean that only a bleak pessimistic worldview would carry one through. If we keep Hanlon's Razor in mind though ("Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"), then maybe we can cheer ourselves up by positing that the scholars generally do have good intentions, albeit they're humanly limited intellectually/socially, and accept their works on a best effort basis... i.e. for the most part their products would be better in depth & breadth & rigor than a layperson's, but would still need to be assessed with a healthily critical mind before one can integrate their findings into one's worldview.

    1. Salam, believe me I know you want to give people the benefit of the doubt as it should be but :) ........ let me clarify. The way I see scholars goes something like this. There are of course the genuine scholars and they don't need defending, their work does the talking. Then there are those Ijaza waving copy paste artists who I safely lump with the brainwashed rank and file and are marginally better than the target audience they have been ordered to "educate", the madrases are full of them. Feel free to cut them with Hanlon's Razor as an act of mercy.

That leaves us with the type I am referring to in the post, the mind messing professionals who control these sects. Their intentions are cloaked in several layers of lies, yes, cynical way to look at it but the last thing you want to do when it comes to these hypocritical lot is to assume they are good intentioned but stupid.

Besides, there are many things in the world to feel good about, a fake scholar is not one of them :)

    1. Salam, I seem to have stepped on a lot of toes in FB and was reported nonstop. Since they couldn't find anything that would go against the terms so after all these years they decided to insist on sending them an ID which they "promise" to destroy :)

But I will be back :) Thanks for noticing

  3. The Quran is essentially an allegorical text with its roots in the mystery teachings of Babylon. It should never be interpreted literally in regards to its principles...
