Why is it that faith becomes mysteriously blind "after" you join a sect?

Logically if faith itself was blind then any religion or sect would do. So on what basis can you claim that your particular religion is the right one and on what basis would one choose where to park one's blind faith. Why is it that those who propagate this nonsense start applying it to sect members "after" they have signed them up. Why not let this "wisdom" be known at the time of luring someone into their circle ?

In reality "blind faith" is suppose to discourage the asking of legitimate question of the sect leaders' questionable practices. Basically a license to shut everybody up. There can be no other explanation. Islam is totally against this kind of nonsense. Before you get to the stage "You hear and you obey" you have to choose to become a believer, you can do this only after intensive verification of the "message", if not then what is it that you agreeing to believe?

In the absence of a physical messenger, you "obey the message" after you have verified it to be Divine. If you don't verify the choices on offer for yourself then the whole notion of faith will be reduced to ''my scholars are better than your scholars'' farce. The only logical remedy against this type of nonsense is; don't let anyone get away with "so and so said so" absurdity. Unless of course the Quranic standard of evidence is applied, nobody gets a free pass including the companions. A fact conveniently ignored by the proponents of the so called "science of Hadith". In actual practice the four witnesses rule applies to living witnesses who must submit to cross questioning. Now how will that be possible if one were to verify a report where the reporter has been dead for a couple of hundred years ?
