A wish and the reality

THE WISH

All claims of God's existence are false
Scriptures claim God exist
Quran is a scripture
Quran's claim for God's existence is false

So goes the "logic" :)

Let us try to analyze what is wrong with this stack.

First up, the premise is problematic, there is no basis to claim that all claims of God's existence are false. Empirical evidence points to the opposite position.

Secondly, the implied assumption that all scriptures are the same is plain wrong, a self-explanatory synopsis.

Hence, the conclusion that Quran's claim of God's existence is false is based on a faulty premise and an equally unprovable assumption.

THE REALITY

The Above faulty premises and inferences are at best coping mechanism to deal with a reactionary and irrational position one feels compelled to defend. The position is reactionary because to stop acknowledging an ontological sound and consistent notion just because it relates to organized religions is nuts.

The claim that "nobody knows" towards that end is in essence, a position of  convenience for those who are either too lazy to research the issues thoroughly  or are dependent on whatever arguments happen to be in vogue at any given time that attempts to strengthen the ABG (anything but God) slogan. The lack of continuous research exposes these not knowers when the same old arguments are brought up long after they have been refuted and even shelved by the very people who made them fashionable in the first place.

Towards that end the following short list demonstrates the resulting mind set;

The declaration that there is no evidence of God is right up there.
You can't disprove a negative is still thrown around
The misconception that positive truth claims bear a burden of proof while negative truth claims don't.
And of course, the "we don't know" is forever green
Along with its baffling variant "we don't know and we are proud of it".

Most of the above list can be traced to misplaced and baseless arrogance, the type that rides on selective "reviews" of selective "others"
