Yes but that is not how the companions understood it :) Yes we know it contradicts the Quran but if you challenge us we will emphatically deny that it contradicts the Quran and stick by the "story".
For instance, if the companions under the (supposed) instructions of the Prophet (pbuh) understood it to turn women into tents, (preferably of the same color, we really want them to become invisible in plain sight) then that is that "we hear we obey", there, if you needed more "proof" from the Quran, these are God's words, never mind the context, we will use them in spite of God's repeated warning not to "twist/distort words from its places". And don't be so judgmental, how else are we supposed to challenge your quoting of crystal clear words of God?
Now try to make a convincing logical argument that will counter this absolute appeal to authority backed by the absolute authority, here it is again, "we hear we obey". You see we are working for a boss who takes care of us when we do exactly as we are told and not surprisingly also "takes care of us" when we don't :)
Not to mention if you disagree with our mind messing professionals, the bosses, that control our for-profit sect, we will declare you an apostate and we have determined through the same foolproof, the fool here meaning you, method that all acts of apostasy, determined by us of course, results in the death penalty because that is one sure method to shut people like you up for good :)
Don't bother to look up most of our claims in the Quran, you won't find them there but we can make a very "convincing" argument that there were other revelations other than the Quran which only we know about, although we have done everything to publicize them but it has been an uphill struggle, this is in case you beat us with pesky logical and grammatical rules while interpreting the Quran. The time-tested way to get around God's revelations is with "claims" of "other" revelations :)
Yes, we know Quran is our Furqan and there are specific standards detailed in the Quran for making claims but we will put them aside and hope most will not bother looking them up. A claim is a claim. Don't take us for fools, we know all this, after all, we (the organized for-profit sect based Islam, read big business) came up with the ultimate shut up Taqleed :)
Any questions?
Hello LifeGuru, long time no see! Hope you're well :)
ReplyDeleteYes you're completely right, it's sad to see people still insist on abiding my unreliable sources even after they're referred to the clear evidences of its unreliability. I ask God to guide us all and direct us to the straight path. :)

ReplyDeleteAnonymous19, I'll call myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure you'll even see this now because it's so long after but an interesting addition to the hijab/niqab debate, if I may, is ayah 53 in surah 33:
52. It is not lawful for you (to marry other) women after this, nor to change them for other wives even though their beauty attracts you, except those (captives or slaves) whom your right hand possesses. And Allah is Ever a Watcher over all things.
(*most translations of the part I want to discuss are the same, so this is just a random translation)
How could Muhammad Pbuh be attracted to beauty of the women Allah mentions if they are wearing the niqab? This isn't a question to you, of course, but a question to anyone that says the niqab is obligatory. I haven't seen this ayah discussed in any arguments and it seemed very clear when I read it earlier today!
Thank you for your blog.
Salam, sorry haven't been able to answer you properly, I have a number of things in my head since you brought up Quran 33:52. There are many more enlightened souls who have written about this issue. I would like to add their analysis to the discussion. Just watch this space :)
DeleteCouldn't hold myself from laughing in the second half of your post, with the little humor I sense in your words :D it made me laugh but afterwards it almost made me cry...how could we bring ourselves in this miserable state, when we were supposed to announce the light of the Koran to the whole mankind? instead we twisted its meanings, we made it awful in the sight of people, which resulted in hatred towards Islam (I dear not say towards Allah). We let down Allah that put trust in us for preserving and spreading the light of his scripture, and we let down our blessed prophet by believing and spreading the dirty slanders and calumnies against him, just because their is a supposed isnad there, nevermind the Koran tells us he is of a high degree of moral, a mercy for mankind, generous and merciful with his community, and that spends one-third of the night perhaps even more in prayer (while other sources tell me that he used to visit all this wives in one night in a row, and other horrific slanders unthinkable for an usual muslim, let alone for a prophet of God).
ReplyDeleteThinking of all these, how will we face Allah in the day of judgement? how will we face prophet? are we going to justify ourselves by saying that ''we said and we did so bcs schoolars told us so''? No, that justification is of no use, because we had al-furqan in our hands, and we had eyes to read and logic to understand. So, we could easily see what is wrong and what is right, if only we bothered to read and study!
Salam, thank you for visiting my humble blog, together we hope to win back our beautiful Deen from the usual suspects:)
