Glorifying the very tools of oppression is an old psychological trick aggressively promoted by the illegal and for-profit sect scene but sadly new people keep falling for it every day. There is not a single innovation in the name of Islam that would have made the Deen less of a burden for women. Why can't they innovate where the benefit goes to the women and not in a "it's good for you" way.
Underage marriages, silence as consent, imagine that, instant divorces (when initiated by men of course) suffocating dress code, short changing women in inheritance. four wives as a rule, restriction of movement and on and on are all innovations. The one that really takes the cake is the "honor" of the family forced on the shoulders of young impressionable girls. How does that work? seriously!!!, God in His infinite mercy and fair play on balance gave women equal rights, yes equal rights, needless to say "different rights" is a euphemism for "inferior" in the sect scene.
There is no specific dress code in Islam, that is, Islam as detailed in the Quran. Dressing modestly is prescribed for both men and women. Wearing Hijab, as defined by the sect scene, is not an "act of worship". In fact Hijab is a Quranic term that has nothing to do with an article of clothing.
It is also important to note that the pros who control the sect scene are completely ignoring the use of the word Khimar and Hijab in the Quran. Giving references from selected dictionaries that were compiled centuries later to reflect the by then distorted meanings assigned to these Quranic terms doen't make it legit.
The sect scene's fixation on dress code of women is understandable. But we have to be alive to their real motives. Regimentation is the first prerequisite of control. Separation of the genders follow closely. Assigning visible addons to appearance is an instrument of control. Hence, a piece of cloth to be worn in a certain suffocating way is by design. When discouraging color and no make-up is added to the mix, you now you have the most visible indicators that can be used to subjugate half of humanity. The other half (brothers, fathers, husbands even sons) are given busy work to police the women. Perfect.
My humble advise to Muslims; If you are not willing to verify your faith for yourself then don't be surprised when others tell you what you ought to believe.
Looks like a poem and song but SO true. Allah uses the word hijab in Quran but refers to barrier not headscarf, Allah also tells us women to lengthen our garments but we don't know how much therefore it's a choice but we must also use common sense, brain and our intellect. https://submission.org/Dress_Code_1.html
